Rinko Kikuchi in Brothers Bloom
I absolutely LOVED Rinko Kikuchi's character in Brothers Bloom. She has about 3 lines in the entire film, yet her character is extremely witty & humorous. Her partnering female character, Penelope, is also extremely smart & witty and talented- from playing like 8 instruments, break dancing, kung fu, acrobatics, card play & making pin hole cameras out of watermelons:)
I appreciate the two ladies because they're far from helpless & dumb. I wish their were more female characters created in stories & films like these two.
