London Tamil burns himself to death at UN

A TAMIL man from London burned himself to death outside the United Nations building in Geneva in protest at his people's treatment in Sri Lanka.

Computing graduate Murugathasan Varnakulasingham, 26, left his home in Harrow to attend a demonstration in the Swiss capital, where he doused himself in petrol and set himself alight last Thursday.

Police tried to save the part-time Sainsbury's shelf-stacker but his injuries proved too great.

Mr Varnakulasingham is the seventh Tamil to burn to death in the past month in protest at the Sri Lankan government's military offensive against the Tamil Tigers, which has led to civilian deaths and accusations of human rights violations.

His suicide note left outside the UN building read: "We Tamils, displaced and all over the world, loudly raised our problems and asked for help before (the) international community in your own language for three decades. But nothing happened."--taken from the Evening Standard

yaaay ha so we have to go to The Regional Passport Agency which is in LA, and will be about $200 ay yay yay

i feel everything should fall into place as it should. wish me luck, and pictures will be posted!!

Cambodia or Europe

ok so this is blowing my miiind! ive been to germany and some of central europe already and i told the sis i'd go with her this coming march because she's never been. And we kinda have to go before April because thats when her ticket to Amsterdam expires. Buuuuuut i got this sweeeeet offer to go to cambodia to work in an orphanage for like a month!!!!!! idk i just think it would be wicked to be completly culture shocked and have nothing but my camera by my side.... id be in heaven... kind of.. oh yea and the catch, i barley have money to go to either of them. Damn this is boosh ooooh weeeell at least im not wrapped up like a douche in the middle of the night.
